An ode to Love

Love is in the air.

I smell a subtle sweet aroma all around.

It tingles my senses,

A blissful ecstasy induced.

All the malice,

All the ill will vanishes,

All hard feelings bite dust.

I want to bury all the hatchets,

I want to start anew.

I want to celebrate love,

But not the usual way.

I laugh to see naive around,

Wearing their hearts on their sleeves,

The show goes on.

I bestow my love on those I love unsaid.

They may not treasure it,

But it is there forever.

I may not give them cupid trinkets,

But my heart beats in symphony to their music.

I love to love,

And that is what matters.
