Miracles
We seek
To turn the wheels
Stuck in tarred mud,
An invisible hand
Would jerk us out of
the vicious mire.
Hoping that averse tides
will mellow down
And gentle waves will roll,
And we only drift along
in tranquil slumber.
Wishing that stormy tornados
Die down,
And wisps of gentle breeze
caress my soul,
With love,
I seek.
Deluged with scary dread,
I gasp and choke,
Floating in tired trepidation,
A soiled driftwood,
Simply hoping to be washed
on faraway shores
That will be only
my own!
