Sally Cronin has selected  the butterfly cinquain as this week’s form.The Butterfly Cinquain is an unrhymed, nine-line syllabic poem with 2-4-6-8-2-8-6-4-2 syllables per line. 

summer
sun bakes land down
hard and brown to sizzle
sweaty precipitation beads
drizzle
melting sweet icy popsicles
i lick in ecstasy
calories groan
i smile
