Loving Myself

Somedays the knees creak and the other days my back protests aloud. But I am one stubborn soul!
I shall run and squat and climb up the ladder to reach the highest shelf. I shall do hoppety- skippety jumps around the house and walk twice for same errand to cover my 10000 steps. I smirk in disdain and laugh away my pain. But the light on my plight dawns with the night. When all I want is to slip into oblivion, searing aches throttle my limbs and I promise myself not to do that stupidity again.A new day begins and the story remains the same.I keep up my hopes.
if tomorrow comes
erasing lost tales of yore
leading to paths new
fears alloyed with fiery bloom
nudge on the weary soldier
I walk on to show myself some love and finding myself once again for I don’t know the Myself that I have become
