An errant ray

When darkness seeps in,

And life seems to stop,

A stagnant mesh,

Clawing the soul,

An errant ray,

Pierces through the dark sheath,

Leaving an opening,

For wisp of hope,

To blow away the dreary gloom.

Not always,

The tiny ray finds it way,

It gets lost in the misty abyss,

Absorbed in the grey clouds,

That hang heavy,

Awaiting the new dawn!
