TankaTuesday Weekly #Poetry Challenge No. 247, #SynonymsOnly

Willow Willers from last month’s challenge chose the two words for this month:

Twilight & Hue

My synonyms are Ebb and Tint.

I have written a Double Inverted Nonet

from
placid
blue expanse
silvery surf
rolls in crests and troughs
in symphonic rhythm
splashing on the cobbled shores
many tints gleaned from Nature's lore
only to ebb and take back some more
eroding stratified memories
etching out myriad new ones
ephimeral microcosm
tiny grains change with Tides,
life's fluid matrix
perpetual
flow of change
only
lasts

  1. you end up feeling like you’re part of a wave – building/forming, then riding in and back out – as if we’re part of water – so to speak — very lovely sensation, I believe the word choice and chosen poetic form marry well together, adding to this sensation – surprising and yet lovely that it should translate as such 🙂
