Redemption(Tanka Prose)

Today's world has forgotten the spirit of compassion. What motivates us is self interest and an endless avarice to seek more. We forget all those who have loved and nurtured us for we consider ourselves invincible.We shall never suffer like those to whose suffering we turn a blind eye to.

souls alive lonely
departed ones exalted
now at life's threshold-
mired with sad neglect await
eagerly to be redeemed
