COLLEEN’S 2020 WEEKLY #TANKA TUESDAY #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 232, #SPECIFICFORM

  • First, choose your favorite syllabic poetry form. Write your poem.
  • Next, give your poem some different characteristics to make it something different. You can change the syllable count, rhyme scheme (add or get rid of it), anything you want to create a new form. Write this poem.
  • Give your new syllabic poetry form a name.

I have used the etheree and Keats odes rhyme scheme:ABABCDECDEto come up with an Odetheree.

rains

manna

from domains-

cold cabana

weaving dewy strand

of symphonic ripple

to rest in nature’s bosom-

lush with iridescent bloom grand

mud spattered mounds new life shoots tipple

what once was dead springs life anew to come
