Fishing for joys,
In the waters of life,
Inverse images,
Sharp and bright,
Look at you,
So near and yet so far,
A placebo,
It is,
To not to be.
And,
Still,
You hold the nets,
Adamant,
Patient,
Awaiting the bounty,
That would fall into your lap.

Ooh very clever, it is indeed a placebo, to both know and not know what might be. Beautifully captured. Thank you for joining in the challenge:

Very nice. I enjoyed this piece, and I’m not usually good with poetry. 🙂
