#TANKA TUESDAY WEEKLY #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 226 #EKPHRASTIC #PHOTOPROMPT

I have written a Garland Cinquain
Fiery
hope extinguished
you stand at precipice
staring into gorges around
all dark.
Inside
hot inferno
rages to consume all
what was once full of vibrant life
now dead.
You walk
along in fear
in a tormented soul
ripped fully apart at its core
to burst.
Eyes dull
shed silent tears
pain sluiced in salty gush
splashed with cold silvery cascade
now shine.
Deluge
of suppressed pain
flows into dark abyss
washing away angst in a heart
now calm
Fiery
hot inferno
in a tormented soul
splashed with cold silvery cascade
now calm.
