Wishes,
Gossamer winged,
Irridiscent in the warm sunlight,
Floating aerily in the cerulean skies,
Beckoning me to dreamy lands,
Faraway and faraway,
An idyllic repose,
And my heart soared!
But stormy gales,
Blew far and wide,
Scattering the frail wishes all around,
Lost in the maelstrom,
Not to be found!
And some lucky ones,
They hid deep in the soul’s cavern,
Hiding safely in secret recesses,
Hibernating eternally,
Closeted and locked,
To never see the light of day!
Winged wishes,
But still radiantly hued,
Flapped and fluttered,
In hope,
Just to waltz on fragrant blossoms,
Once more!
