As winter comes

As cold seeps through,

Its icy hands permeating my soul,

Turning the warm expanse glacial,

The burnished fires lit around,

They fail to thaw the frigid fervour,

I shiver on wintry,frozen paths,

Seeking solace,

Cherishing a yearning ardour,

A tender touch,

To deliquesce the frozen feelings,

Letting a gush of sanguine flow,

No longer dreading the dreary cold.
