My soul tethered deep into my conscience is my anchor of life. Strong and sturdy, weathering the life’s storms,it has grown. Lateral branches lush with verdant emotions, lush with life sprout shading me from harsh glares. They droop down burdened with the plethora of life’s emoticons. And as they touch down to meet my inner self pervading it with an ecstatic peace. My soul keeps me rooted as I go adrift. The hard and barky roots buried deep in the mind’s mound claw their way up to bright light to imbibe the life’s warmth and infuse its hues to soften the tardy bark.
Hues of life shine bright,
Springs of hope animating,
Souls lost in despair

I like the way you see the tree as giving you strength even while you are despairing.
