The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Aug. 15/2020

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “pro/con.” Talk about the pros and cons of anything.”

The pros and cons of living in times of Corona.

Life is a peculiar tale.

You win some and you lose some.

As you are confined in your home, you spend only on basic essentials, there by increasing your savings. But your salary is also slashed and also perks removed.

You live in cloistered places as you traverse the virtual world wantonly.

The work place is shut but the working hours are infinite.

Everyday is a Sunday but even Sunday is not a Sunday anymore.

All Time is yours but not a second is solely yours.

You work like a zombie and that keeps you sane.

You are happy to be at home but shed tears of sorrow.

You smile to laugh but the laughter is tainted.

You love not to love but to have someone in your glove to tend to some chores.

The sun shines but it’s luminous rays do not reach the dark hearts caged in four walls.

The air blows but the wisps of air fail to blow away the masked gloom.

You seek solace by locking yourself up in chest so tight that nothing can break it open with all it’s might.

You learn new things which are now no longer new.

You live in a sea of humanity dotted with lonely Islands.

You live to live but the life has waned.

Pollution is less but stagnation has set in.

A vague fear and unease,a distrust is rampant as you keep up your hope.

And you still laugh at the ironies of life!

Stay strong and stay safe in these unsafe times!
