Tiny flame

A tiny flame,

Flickered,

Buzzed,

As drops of water wet its wick.

It fluttered many a time,

Gasping,

Whizzing,

And suddenly shone bright.

But a gust of wild wind arose,

The tiny flame now bright,

Waltzed to its whistling music,

Swinging to and fro,

A baited breath,

It might let go.

But,

The little flame,

Tenaciously held on.

Darkness all around,

The little flame shining bright,

Showed way to souls astray and lost,

A beacon of hope,

Dispelling darkness,

A golden orb,

It made darkness its home.
