The second day dawned bright. The sun was high up in the sky. It is getting warmer and you get up in beads of sweat under the duvet. I look morosely at the AC dying to put it on. But Corona scared me.
I did some cooking and some household chores.
It is now sinking in. We had taken life for granted. Some things of daily life which hold no value suddenly become so important. I miss dashing down to the market at the slightest excuse, my window – shopping and shopping too.
I confess! I am a shopoholic!
It cheers me when I am down.
Feeling a bit low today as the day lingers on. And God knows how many more days.
21 day lockdown is there but some say it may carry on.
I walk to the window in the building passage a couple of times to stare at the empty road with a lone person walking.
I watch the trees in the garden lush green. Some rats have come out of their holes to gambol in the garden. And the bright spot is that today I can hear some sparrows twittering amidst the raucous cries of crows and the pigeons.
The television serials are also repeat episodes.
So all in all, an inconsequential day.
May be tomorrow it would be better.
Stay home and stay safe!
