As my mind goes blank,

Shutting out all the deafening noises,

Boarding up the crevices,

That streamed in biting shafts.

I float aimlessly hither and thither,

I know not,

And I don’t want to know.

A reverie,

An idyllic repose,

A blissful ecstasy.

The world is my own,

No pretences,

No shams,

No charades.

Honest love,

And camaraderie.

I love being me,

I finally love myself.
