Life is…….

Now here and gone tomorrow!

Who knows what the sun rise of the next day has in store for you?

We don’t even know what will happen in the next second.

Man claims to have mastered Science.

He may have crossed the seven seas.

He may have reached the moon.

He may have crossed the final frontier.

He may create AI’s.

But can he chart his own destiny?

Can he control time and tide?

He may be the master of many but he is a minion in the cosmic circle.

He has no say in the scheme of life.

We spent our lives hoarding things, building plans and creating future edifices.

But all goes away in a jiffy.

As the life force seeps out from us, the monuments we create in our lifetime fall down like a pack of cards.

The balance of cosmic energy remains constant. What we take from Universe to achieve our ends goes back to it mingling in dust.

We go back empty handed.

So why we clamour for more in our life times?

Why can’t we be at peace and be contented?

The quest for more leads a man into a cloistered niche.

He cannot think beyond his selfish needs .

But this quest has no reward for it leaves nothing with him in the end.

All his name and fame are transitory.

People will pay obituaries but forget him in a few days.

And then what?

A big lacuna.

A seamless void!

We should rather spend our lives on being better people!

Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.”

Norman Cousins

Find ecstasy in life, the mere sense of living is joy enough.”

Emily Dickinson

Life is short and unpredictable. So savour your present.Make it beautiful. It is what you have in hand.

As Lord Krishna says in Bhagwad Gita:

“Whatever happened was good. What’s happening is going well.Whatever will happen will also be good.Do not worry for the future.Live in the present.”

So do your karma and let destiny play its card.

  1. Beautiful!! Really wish people could get contented with what they have! Kings have come and built huge forts and castles and fought battles for more but ultimately all gone …while that greed fo more continues even today leading to more sadness, misery and killings! Recently there was a news of two brothers in delhi killing each other for parking space and 100 crore property!!
