On the third day of Navratri, Goddess Durga is worshipped as Chandraghanta. she has a half moon on her forehead ,three eyes and ten hands holding different weapons. She is a harbinger of peace and prosperity and gives us the strength to dispel away all evil and negative energies from us.
Our beliefs and culture always motivate and inspire us to become better human beings.
It becomes our teacher.
People sometimes ridicule the customs and traditions.
But do they see what they are trying to teach us.
They are showing us the way how to become better human beings.
They inculcate us to become more disciplined, develop our will power and make us strong to face the rigours of life.
The symbols and customs become our teachers as they show us the path to redemption from vices.
Practice maketh a man perfect.
And as we practice all customs, we learn in the process.
It helps us to reach our inner core if we are willing to go all the way.
It leads to self realisation.
